This Saturday will see players from Total Tranmere FC, members of this website and a few friends, taking part in a winner takes all (the bragging rights) clash on the hallowed turf of Prenton Park in what some will call the highlight of their footballing playing year!

With the devastation of the Scunthorpe game now in the past and with Rovers fans already looking ahead to next season, this Saturday sees some of those who have suffered the highs and lows of this season, come together to enjoy a full-length match on the very turf where their side have performed so well throughout the season.

Members of Total Tranmere FC, some non-squad members who are regulars on this website and a few friends will take part in a squad game at Prenton Park this Saturday, 16th May with a 2.30pm Kick-Off and like last year it's sure to be an enjoyable day for all.

Last year, Mike Jackson's XI triumphed 5-3 over Wayne Frank's XI in a close game and this year Mike will be looking to double that success against a team managed by TTFC captain Pete Glavin who has taken over the managerial reigns for the opponents this time around.

A crowd of between 50 and 60 family and friends were there to watch the game last season and the same sort of turnout is expected this year so if you find yourself at a loose end on Saturday afternoon or if your already having football withdrawal symptoms, why not pop down and give them your support?

Speaking ahead of the game, TTFC Manager Mike Jackson said.....

"Everyone who will be involved on Saturday is really looking forward to the match and although there are concerns regarding the fitness levels of possibly half the players taking part, it's sure to once again be a great day!"

"Why not come down and support us on our big day?  We can't guarantee you sexy, flowing football but we can guarantee there will be goals and no doubt some comedy moments along the way!!"

Spectators can access the Paddock Stand by going through the Players Entrance and down the tunnel to the pitch.  Entry is free and the majority of the squad will be heading to the Mersey Clipper Pub next to the Ground after the game.

Mike Jackson's side will be playing in Green Shirts, White Shorts and Green Socks whilst the team managed by Pete Glavin will be wearing Orange Shirts, Black Shorts and Orange Socks.

A penalty shoot-out will follow at the end of the game and a report on the match will hopefully appear here at the start of next week!

REMINDER TO ALL PLAYERS

The aim is to meet at Prenton Park for 1.30pm.  We are able to get in from 2.00pm but we may be allowed in earlier than that.  The game will kcik-off at 2.30pm, will be 90 minutes long and will end with a penalty shoot-out (time permitting).

Please bring your boots and £1.00 each to pay for the Referee.

Kits will be provided on the day and please make sure that all Kits are returned to the Kit Bags in the relevant dressing room after the game.

Shower facilities are expected to be available so bring your towels and whatever you may need.

After the match we plan to eat and have a few drinks in the Clipper.

The game will be videoed and DVD's will be available for sale in the coming week or  two.  Match Programmes will also be available with a small donation preferably made for one.

Ste will collect the £1.00 each from Pete's Team and Dave Brilley will collect the £1.00 each from Mike's Team.
