Substitute Terry Gornell scored his first Rovers goal to rescue a well deserved point for the hosts. Second placed MK Dons had the lead through a Leven penalty only for Gornell to net within the last ten minutes to earn the draw.

There were two changes to the side that drew with Peterborough , Shuker replaced Sonko on the wing and Goodison returned in place of Edds with Kay pushing into midfield. So the team looked like this...

After a fairly even opening few minutes Rovers had the first attempt on goal as Barnett had a volley smothered by Gueret.  Kay and Navarro then both had efforts goalwards but both failed to test the keepers.

The opening half saw very few chances and with MK Dons playing a defensive formation they created little and it was Rovers doing most of the pressing.

Barnett blazed over after a goalmouth scramble and Shuker had a shot tipped behind for a corner in the main chances of the first 45 minutes.

Rovers came out brighter in the second half and continued to ask questions of the visitors yet the first real chance of the half fell to the Dons.  After a free kick was unfairly awarded against Ryan Shotton, Miguel Llera headed wide from a good chance.

At the other end it looked like Rovers should have had a penalty as Shuker's cross was met by a Dons hand but the referee gave nothing.

With the referee giving free kicks left right and centre to the Dons the Rovers frustration was multiplied when somehow he gave a dodgy penalty to MK.

During a goalmouth scramble Wilbraham hit the deck and the ref pointed to the spot.  Peter Leven drilled the kick down the middle and Achterberg's touch wasn't enough to stop the Dons unfairly taking the lead.

Jermal Johnson then dragged a shot past the post with Achterberg getting a vital hand to it before Rovers then made a triple substitution to try and change the game as Gornell, Edds and Sonko came on to replaced Moore, Goodison and Barnett with Antony Kay moving to centre back.

This turned out to be an inspired substitution, as  just two minutes later Shuker crossed for Kay to knock down to Terry Gornell to convert from close range.

Jenno pulled all the strings in the midfield and was a driving force and is performing like he did last season much more often now. Barnett, Cresswell and Shotton all had good games in my opinion also.
