Moore on Crewe: "We Have to Be Positive"

Ahead of Saturday's game against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road in Coca-Cola League One, Ronnie Moore insisted his team can't afford to be negative and must go at their opponents if they are to begin the task of turning around their dismal away form.
Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore was understandably upbeat ahead of Tranmere's trip to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon on the back of two excellent home wins. Moore did acknowledge though that Rovers must begin to turn around their home form.
Speaking to Tranmere Rovers Official Website he said....
"Our home form is good. We know what the problem is, and it's about putting that right away from home. The performance at Millwall was good, but we didn't get the result. If we put the same performance in I'm sure this is a game we can win."
"We've been so indifferent away from home. If we can get consistency I'm sure the wins will come. We're playing differently now. We're getting the ball down more and we've got more pace up front. Hopefully that will help us."
"When you go away from home you have to be lethal with your opportunities. We haven't been. When the chances come we have to take them. I'm sure on Saturday we'll get chances and it's a matter of scoring at the right time."
"We have to be focussed. We can't go there and think because Crewe are bottom of the league that that's it. It doesn't happen like that in this league. We have to be wound up and show them the respect that we show everybody. We have to be positive and go at them."
"Their two strikers are good players who will cause you problems, so the back four have to be on their toes and alert."
Speaking about the recent form of his son Ian, Ronnie added....
"Ian has always scored goals but the problem he's had has been that it's hard to score when you're playing right wing. That's down to me, but I've put him in there because he has been disciplined. He will play like an orthodox winger but with a bit more defensive awareness about him."
"I'm pleased for him that he has the three goals. I used to moan like mad when he was at Leeds and Dennis Wise played him right wing, and he's come here and I've ended up doing the same. I can understand why Wise did it because he gives you stability along the four in midfield."
"But he is a striker, he's enjoying it at the minute, and I'm sure there's plenty more goals to come from him."
Moore also revealed that Antony Kay would miss training on Thursday and would have his fitness checked prior to the visit to Crewe.

If we win tomorrow then we will be definately gaining ground on at least one of the teams in the play-offs. If Swindon play a blinder then we could finish the day 2pts off the play-offs. Peterborough have 2 away games in a row and their record on the road is also pretty weak, it's all about the first 45 minutes for us this season, we have only lost twice in the 19 matches where we have been winning or drawing at half time, and surprisingly enough, we are one of only 4 teams who haven't lost when leading in a league match this season.
If we score first, we will get at least a draw.
Crewe are as poor at home as we are away from home so who knows what will happen lol.
A 4-3 in our favour this time would be good although a 1-0 Tranmere would do me!
