Moore Pleased with Performance Against Carlisle

Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore was delighted with his side's performance as well as the result as Tranmere demolished Carlisle United 4-1 at Prenton Park thanks to an Ian Moore brace and goals from Gareth Edds and Steven Jennings with all the goals coming in the second half.
After seeing his side demolish Carlisle United this afternoon in Coca-Cola League One, Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore was delighted not just with the result but with the performance too, particularly in the second half where all the goals, both for and against the Whites, were scored.
Moore particularly praised the second half performances of Chris Shuker and Ian Moore and also explained that Antony Kay had to go off at half-time with a back problem which had already made him a doubt to start the match in the first place.
Speaking to Tranmere World after the game, Moore said....
"After half time we moved the ball quicker and got Shuker involved more. It was a great performance and we could have won by more. Ian and Shukes' movement has battered them. We've said it has been coming and it could have been five or six."
"We've had opportunities but just haven't taken them. Shukes' position gave Jennings a lot of room to get forward. It's a good position for Shukes because he's clever. But you need someone alongside him with pace and we had that with Ian."
"The crowd enjoyed it and got behind us and it was a good day. I'm pleased with the result but disappointed we conceded the sloppy goal."
"Kaysy was always touch and go. He had a fitness test before the game and wanted to play. He gave us 45 minutes but had to come off at half time. It was difficult for Charlie too as he was playing in an unfamiliar role, but it was a good performance."
