Tranmere Rovers have today re-signed Stoke City defender Ryan Shotton on loan until the end of the 2008/09 season.
Shotton joins Tranmere from Premier League outfit Stoke having spent three months on loan at Prenton Park earlier in the season, a period which saw him make nineteen appearances and score five goals, making him the clubs leading scorer when he returned to Stoke due to Football League regulations in late November.

Ryan Shotton Has Returned on Loan!
The 20 year-old is able to play at right-back or at centre-back and goes straight into Tranmere's side to face Millwall at the New Den tomorrow.
The defender was supposed to return to Prenton Park on January 1st, but his move was held up due to contract negotiations with Stoke. However, the cold weather has meant both of Tranmere's matches since the New Year have been postponed and therefore Shotton hasn't missed any football.
