Shotton to Re-join Rovers in January

Ryan Shotton looks set to return to Prenton Park on loan until the end of the season from Stoke City once the transfer window opens in less than 24 hours time. Shotton previously spent three months on loan at Tranmere before being forced to return in December.
Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore has confirmed that Ryan Shotton will be back in a Rovers shirt in January after speaking to Stoke City boss Tony Pulis about bringing back the goal scoring machine.
Shotton spent three months on loan at Prenton Park earlier this year becoming a fans favourite scoring an impressive five goals from right back.
After praising his sides win over Walsall on Sunday Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside that he has verbally agreed with Stoke manager Tony Pulis to bring the youngster back and the paperwork will be done on Wednesday.
Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside:
"I spoke to Tony Pulis last week. We expect Shotton here on Wednesday to get the papers signed and then he'll be here until the end of the season."
Meanwhile Rovers midfielder Adnan Ahmed whose two month loan spell at Mansfield Town come to an end after their 2-0 defeat at home to Burton Albion, spoke about how he enjoyed his spell there and would like to extend his stay at the Stags if the opportunity was available.
Ahmed told http://www.chad.co.uk:
"My loan is up and I will soon find out what is happening. Everything has gone well so far for me personally here - they are a fantastic bunch of lads and I would like to stay if the opportunity comes."
Finally Total Tranmere would like to thank and wish all the best to youngsters John Johnson and Godwin Antwi who both return to there parent clubs after spending time on loan at Rovers recently.
