Moore Embarrassed at Rovers Display in Bristol

Ronnie Moore was dismayed by his team and their performance in the 2-0 away defeat to Bristol Rovers on Saturday. The gaffer admitted that even a rocket to the players at half-time failed to inspire an improved performance in the second half as Rovers crumbled.
Tranmere Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore today spoke of his disappointment with his troops after the shocking performance away at Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Moore spoke about how worried he is at the performance and how his players didn't react to his half time team talk.
Moore said.....
"I gave the players a half-time rocket but it made no difference," said Moore, whose side have now lost five times away from home in the league this season."
"We looked tired and gave the ball away throughout the game, which just isn't like us."
Meanwhile Moore also spoke about his tactical change, and his concern that nothing really changed as a result of it......
"We haven't really created a chance. I switched from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 in the second half, but nothing changed. This performance is a concern and we have to start doing better on our travels."
Bristol Rovers Manager Paul Trollope on the other hand hailed his players performance, telling his Club's Official Website...........
"It was a good result for us, one we worked hard all week to try and bring about,"
"A lot was made about my comments after the Millwall defeat, and today with a couple of changes I thought we looked good as a unit and as a team."
"The players that came in did very well, and I was pleased with the way we saw the game through, and especially to keep a clean sheet."
"The game started off a little slowly, but in the last part of the first half we started to open them up a little and eventually we got the first goal."
"Chris Lines then scored a fantastic goal in the second half, and we could have had another two or three ourselves."
Trollope also told the media that he thought Tranmere never looked a threat in the game.....
"At times in the second half we looked very solid, we let Tranmere play the ball in front of us where they couldn't harm us, and we broke quickly when we won possession."
"Over recent weeks we've all felt we haven't got what we've deserved, and we're determined to turn it around."
"We weren't at our absolute flowing best today, but in the end we were good at the back and our forward play was good enough to warrant a win."
