Ronnie Post-Match - "It's Never Too Late"

After the 2-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon, Ronnie Moore admitted that the result was a big blow but not necessarily the end of Tranmere's chances of making the play-offs come the end of the season. The defeat left Rovers five points adrift of Leeds in sixth place with nine points to play for.
Following his side's 2-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Ronnie Moore praised the effort of his players but was left to reflect on not taking chances when they came as well as indiscipline from the players which means two crucial players will miss the trip to Huddersfield next Saturday.
Speaking to Tranmere World Ronnie said.........
"It was total domination in the first half. It was as well as we've played for some time. There were mistakes made for the goal and he'll never get an easier one than that. But we've had enough opportunities to get ourselves back in the game and that's the disappointing thing for me."
"I think if we'd got the goal we'd have won the game. It was pleasing when you look at the players they've got that we nullified them to a few chances. I've got nothing but praise for the way we went about them, and they're very lucky to be eleven points clear of us."
"It's two defeats on the trot at a time when you can't afford any. It's not done and dusted but it's not helped us. The discipline of the two midfield players certainly hasn't helped us. They want locking up. They know this is the last day for bookings. To take a free kick when the referee has told you you can't...it's not the first time it's happened. We've lost two players at a time when we need all of them.

"If we get three wins who knows what will happen. We have to get three wins, simple as that. It's never too late. We know it's going to be difficult but never say never in football. Stranger things have happened. We just have to hope we do our part and then someone upstairs smiles on us."
"The fans stuck with us and that speaks volumes for how we've played. I'm gutted for them, as we've played a lot worse and won."
"Davo was always going to be on the bench. The magic that he's got, he's one of those players who could always produce something. I'm pleased to have him back."
