Deadly Submarine takes a look back at Tranmere's 2-1 home win over Swindon Town on Friday Night that saw them move back into the play-off places overnight. First halfs goals from Steven Jennings and Chris Greenacre were enough to seal the points for the home side.

It seems like normal home match weather recently as once again the rain lashed and the cold weather continued to make difficult playing conditions once again for both teams.

Crowd

5,815 made it to Prenton Park for the final dose of Friday Night football this season except perhaps for a possible play-off appearance of course.

Referee Watch

Rob Lewis (Shropshire) - Another referee who did very little to frustrate fans from either team with no bookings or red cards to his name either - 8/10

Best Moment

The opening goal from Steven Jennings was the goal that set Rovers on their way to should have been a much easier win than it was.

Tranmere Man of the Match

Ben Chorley - After a Man of the Match performance on Monday afternoon, Chorley was at it again on Friday although he was run close by the excellent Paul McLaren in midfield as well.

Opposition's Main Man

Anthony McNamee - McNamee was a thorn in Rover's side all game and caused Stockdale no end of problems down the Swindon left side.

Connections

No connections this week between the two sides as Rovers boasted no former Robins in their matchday squad and vice-versa.

Swindon Fans

Not many Swindon Fans made the trip to Prenton Park and as a result they seemed very quiet throughout the game.

Summary

It's the result rather than the performance that matters and that is just as well as the awful conditions once again made the game difficult. Tranmere played some good, on the floor football on a tricky pitch and just about deserved the win they got.

Entertainment Value

The first half was dull despite the two goals but the second half was a little more entertaining but once again weather affected - 6/10

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was average at best with the Kop looking very sparse in parts and sounding very quiet - 6/10
