Zola is January Player of the Month

After two weeks of voting, striker Calvin Zola is voted the Total Tranmere Player of the Month for January. In eight matches he scored twice but his consistent performances in a bad spell for Rovers have rightly earned him the accolade for the first time this season.

After two weeks of voting, the results of our January Player of the Month poll have handed the Award to striker Calvin Zola.
In the eight games played in the opening month of 2008, Zola notched two goals but had a long run in the team, causing problems for many League One defences.
The results were as follows.......

As the results show, Calvin polled almost a third of the votes cast in the two week voting period with his nearest contender being on-loan winger Jennison Myrie-Williams followed by Ian Goodison despite the Jamaican missing half of the games in January due to his four match ban for his Red Card on New Years Day at Crewe.
In the latest Site Poll, we ask simply whether you think Ronnie Moore should be given a new contract at the end of the season when his current deal expires.
The question has been much debated in recent weeks on this and other Tranmere Forums so get voting and we will bring you the results prior to our next Player of the Month Poll in two weeks time.

Can't see how Goodison can complain, he was banned for most of the games!
