Rovers Unbeaten in Five

Rovers had to settle for a point against fellow play off hopefuls Leyton Orient. Calvin Zola gave Tranmere the lead after two minutes but with just three left Chambers equalised. The draw meant Rovers are now five game unbeaten and have earnt 13 points out of the last 15 available.

Unsurprisingly there was no changes to the team that beat Leeds United last week with Ian Moore making his home debut.

Within two minutes of the start Rovers went ahead, like other recent home games Calvin Zola was on target.  Myrie-Williams crossed for Shane Sherriff who headed down to Zola and the big striker did enough to force the ball over the line.

After 11 minutes Jennings set up Myrie-Williams for a good effort wich was well kept out by Nelson.

Zola then shot over, and Steve Jennings tackled Barcham when ready to shoot.

Zola then blasted wide when attempting a lob, Myrie-Williams pace was causing problems but the left back seem to stop him getting the final ball in.

On 38 minutes Coyne did well to keep out a Chambers lob and Rovers went into half time having been the better team and deservedly leading.

HALF-TIME: Rovers 1-0 Orient

Early on in the second half both teams had chances, Barcham heading at Coyne and Zola shooting over after good work from Sherriff.

Myrie-Williams and Zola both had chances but couldn't find the target.

With twenty minutes left Ian Moore tried an audacious over-head kick from just inside the box and Nelson did well to palm it away.

Curran then replaced Myrie-Williams, but soon after it was 1-1.

A simple long ball sent Chambers clean through he slotted underneath Coyne and for the equaliser.

Yet again he controlled the game, was involved in both attacking play and defensive and is improving every week.

I agree with Jenno man of the match but I think we deserved to win the game. Dissapointed to concede so late.

Got to pair Greeners up with Moore against Brighton,Zola looked stale towards the end.You don't have your leading scorer warming the bench!!

I agree Matt, why drop Zola when he's in arguably his best form for the club. I'd stick with the same team, and maybe bring Greeny on, depending on what the scoreline is

agree with both arguements, Calvin is our biggest chance of a goal oflate though that is mainly because greeny hasn't played all month.. Greenacre should have been given the last 20 on saturday despite edging the game and having slightly the better of the chances we never really looked like scoring after the 2nd minute and Calvin i thought had a better game than moore but i think he looked shattered toward the end and the game was crying for greenacre.

think sherriff an williams done ok so bringing curran on was absolutely pointless and as usual brought absolutely nothing to the game seeing as he's not a winger... we went quite after that substitution...

isn't the end of the world but i was gutted leaving the ground we needed them 3 points and alls it needed was for us to kill game off. Worst thing we could have done was score an early goal, we tend to ease off when ever we have done that all season.

I agree SWS, the attack did seem lacklustre toward the later stages of the game and Greenacre (and Curran) should maybe have got longer than they did.

I agree with Matt though that there is no way we should change the starting team at all at the moment unless it's forced.

As I said today, the run we have had has coincided with us hardly changing the team (except Moore for Taylor which was enforced obviously).
