It's the old cliché - away wins are like Buses, you wait ages for one and then two come along at once.

Having notched their first League win on the road since early October two weeks previously when they won at Millwall, Ronnie Moore's men went and notched a second away win almost immediately at Elland Road last week as the once mighty Leeds crumbled as Rovers enacted revenge for an undeserved opening day defeat to the Yorkshiremen.

The fact that Rovers always looked comfortable against Leeds is a sure sign of the mini-revival that has seen us notch four successive League wins and with it move back into the much sought after play-off places.

This Saturday gives Rovers another and much quicker, chance of revenge as Leyton Orient travel to Prenton Park almost exactly a month after Rovers made the long midweek trip to London and were undeservedly beaten 3-0 as Shane Sherriff was sent off for Rovers.

Whether one of the goalscorers from that game, the much detested Sean Thornton, will play for the O's remains to be seen but with Rovers now bang in form and the visitors less so, the home crowd will have every reason to feel like this is a winnable game in spite of the scoreline from a month ago.

It will of course be far from easy and Orient will be no pushovers but with no wins on the road in the last six matches, compared with Rovers record of five wins and one defeat, Orient will need to work hard to overcome their recent form away from home.

A win for Orient could move them back into the play-offs at the expense of Rovers and even a move as high as fourth place but a win for the home team will see them cement a play-off place and open up a gap at least on Orient behind them and possibly other teams too depending on results.

Enjoy the Game!

Tranmere Team News

Striker Calvin Zola has a knock to is ankle but it is hoped he will be fit to face Orient on Saturday.

If he fails to make it, Ronnie Moore is somewhat spoilt for choice in terms of a replacement with Chris Greenacre, Ian Moore and Craig Curran all more than capable of filling in upfront.

Steve Davies (cruciate ligaments) is now well on the road to recovery and could even be back in April whilst Chris Shuker (cruciate ligaments) could return in around six weeks time.

Match Referee - Eddie Ilderton (Tyne and Wear)
