We bring you all the Pre-Match news as Hereford travel to Prenton Park in the FA Cup third round on Saturday. Despite being the higher placed team, Hereford are the in-form team and will be looking for a third League One cup scalp after previously beating Leeds United and Hartlepool United.

FA Cup Third Round at Prenton Park

FA Cup Fever finally comes to Prenton Park on Saturday after two previous away matches in rounds one and two.

It's League Two opposition again with Hereford Utd the visitors after Rovers had previously faced Chesterfield and Bradford in the opening two rounds of the competition.

The two sides haven't met in any competitive game for almost exactly ten years when Rovers travelled to Edgar Street in at the same stage of the FA Cup in 1998 and won 3-0 thanks to goals from Gary Jones (2) and Clint Hill.

Hereford are flying high in League Two and have won five and drawn one of their last six games on the road so Rovers will have their work cut out to stay in the competition and if anything based on form, Hereford will be the favourites.

Whilst Rovers have won their last three home matches, their home form, and the atmosphere at home can be inconsistent so if you are going to the game get behind the lads and let's push them to a hopefully lucrative fourth round tie.

Rovers injury woes worsened following the New Years Day defeat at Crewe with Chris Greenacre (hamstring) and Jennison Myrie-Williams (calf) doubts for the Cup tie against Hereford.

If unfit, the pair would join Chris Shuker and Steve Davies (both knee) who are both out for the season, on the injury list.

Rovers will also be without captain Ian Goodison through suspension after his sending off on New Years Day.

Hereford United

United could be without midfielder Clint Easton for the game as he is a major injury doubt whilst Karl Broadhurst has just recovered from illness and injury and is also unlikely to feature for the Bulls.
