All the pre-match team news and statistics ahead of Rover’s visit to the Withdean Stadium to face Brighton on Saturday in League One. Rovers will be looking to continue some good form of late with 3 home wins on the run. Brighton are also doing well and will be looking to continue their climb.

Tranmere travel to the Withdean Stadium in Brighton on Saturday in League One as they look to continue some good form of late.  The last visit to Brighton saw Tranmere beaten 3-0 back when Brighton were last a League One team in the 2003/04 season.  Brighton meanwhile have been playing well lately and will be looking for a good home win.

 

This season has been good for Rovers and they find themselves in fifth place, two points off the automatic promotion spots.  Brighton meanwhile, sit in 11^th place with 24 points compared to Tranmere’s 28, showing just how tight the division is at this stage.

 

Tranmere started brightly to this season and found themselves in second place early on, although a run of bad form dropped Tranmere a few places and a lot of points of the top spots although things look to be getting brighter with 2 home wins, the away form has to improve, hopefully starting with the trip to Brighton.

 

Brighton on the other hand started indifferently but lately have been looking strong with an impressive 8-0 win last Saturday in the FA cup.  They also had an impressive away win at Bradford thanks to a late winner from Bowditch in the 89^th minute.

 

In the last meeting between the two sides at the Withdean Stadium Tranmere were beaten 3-0 during a season which later saw Brighton promoted to the Championship and they will be looking to emulate that season again although early on they will need to put a good run of form together .

 

Tranmere travel to the Withdean Stadium looking for a fourth successive win in the South of the country.  For all those travelling have a great time and let’s hope for three points.

The Seagulls on-loan pair Andrew Whing and Dean Bowditch both return after being unavailable for the FA Cup mauling of Northwich Victoria last week.

Former Rovers player Georges Santos (ankle) is likely to miss the clash with his former Club.

 

Tranmere Rovers:

 

Tranmere will be without Kevin Ellison and Carl Tremarco (both ankle) as well as striker Calvin Zola (foot).

 

Danny Harrison is available for the last time before a three-match suspension starts for a Red Card in the Reserves last week.
