Coca-Cola League One at Prenton Park
By Deadly Submarine
Yeovil are the next visitors to Prenton Park this Saturday as Tranmere look to maintain a 100% home record this season following the 1-0 win against Oldham Athletic on the opening day of the season.
The Glovers arrive at Prenton Park unbeaten so far having drawn away at Millwall on the opening day and then drawn and won in the two home games that followed against Bournemouth and Carlisle respectively.
As Rovers fans are aware, the Superwhites have amassed four points from nine so far with a win, a defeat and then a draw scoring just once in three games and conceding the same amount.
The sides have only ever met once before in the League and that was last season when Chris Greenacre helped himself to a hat-trick and Calvin Zola added a goal as Rovers won 4-1 at Prenton Park after Phil Jevons early penalty had drawn first blood for the visitors.
In the return game, Yeovil edged in front twice through Matt Harrold, only to be pegged back twice by goals from Ian Goodison and Chris Greenacre yet again as the game ended 2-2 at Huish Park.
DEADLY SUB USELESS MATCH FACT – Tranmere have averaged a goal every 30 minutes in all past League meetings with Yeovil so far.
Latest Team News
Tranmere Rovers
Rovers are definitely without the services of midfielder Danny Harrison (foot) but of more concern is probably the injury to Ian Goodison (hip) who has missed training for most of this week and is a major doubt for the game.
Yeovil Town
The Glovers Boss will choose from the same squad that beat Carlisle Utd 2-1 last week. Goalkeeper Darren Bechet has a thumb injury but is set to travel anyway with the squad.
