After the disappointment of Wednesday night, Chelsea return to Premiership action this afternoon with Jose Mourinho declaring, 'We are in great shape.' Chelsea's last Premiership match was the shock defeat at The Boro and that seems such a long time ago.

After Chelsea were beaten at Man Utd, they went on a nine game winning run. The same type of run beginning today at Stamford Bridge against Portsmouth, will see the Premiership trophy at Stamford Bridge for another year.

Expect Michael Essien to return after serving one of his two game suspension on Wednesday, but Gallas is expected to be ruled out again.
