Tube Strike and The Country Set

Not only does the 'real, diehard, passionate' Chelsea supporters (well those that can afford the ticket prices) have to contend with sitting in with the country set at Stamford Bridge tomorrow, but also have to contend with an impending tube strike which is due to start at 12 noon.

Thanks RMT your timing could not have been better. Don't get what you want, ney demand and then decide to go about making lives difficult for others. Don't us Londoners have more than enough to put up with? Those travelling to Stamford Bridge tomorrow, should be OK in getting to the ground in more than enough time for kick-off, but its the getting home again after!!!!

After winning their first two games of the festive season (we are halfway there to repeat last season's acheivement) Chelsea entertain a Birmingham City side (I deliberately omitted the word struggling, 'cos on Wednesday night they did us a favour by holding Man Utd to a 2-2 draw), and here's hoping that they do not do the 'reds' a return favour. But this is football and its Christmas!!

Ex-Chelsea favourites 'Happy Smiley' Melchiot and 'The Iceman' Mikael Forssell are both ruled out through injury and on-loan Jari Jarosik, who has scored a few for the Brum, is ruled out due to the season-long loan agreement between Chelsea and Birmingham.

Recent previous meetings of the two clubs at Stamford Bridge include a 1-1 League draw last season, a 2-0 FA Cup win for Chelsea a few months earlier. I expect tomorrow's game to be a close the two games above were. But again its Christmas and all sort of wishes and dreams can come true.

I just hope that the people around me and '17 Years a Blue' are more passionate, vociferous than they were against Fulham. Its amazing that on many occasions last season Jose complained about the seating of away supporters behind his dugout. The visiting fans were moved into the Shed and the East Stand Lower tier was given back to the so-called 'home' fans and what do you get. NOTHING!! A dead rabbit has more passion.

Won't be long before the 'Special One' makes a comment about that!!

My team prediction was 8 from 11 for the Man City game, so for tomorrow I am going to go for the following:

Cudicini, Ferreira, Gallas, Terry, Del Horno, Makelele, Essien, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, Crespo, J Cole
