Oh to be a football manager. On the day that Jose 'The Special One' announces that both Joe Cole and 'Hello Hello' Hernan Crespo return to the squad to face Premiership new-boys and deserving high-flyers Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge today.

He also announced that Shaunie Wright Wright (Shaun Wright-Phillips) is out after picking up an injury on Tuesday night.

Also in the sixteen-man squad is Didier Drogba who has been playing the last few games with a knee injury. Jose took time to praise the Ivorian Coast hitman by saying "He was a brave boy for us, a good character. He was playing without a lot training, trying to give his best. Of course he has not been at the maximum level but he was still a player for us and gave a contribution".

I suspect that with the return of Crespo, The Drog can look foward to a nice rest on the bench.

Chelsea and Wigan have never met in any League game at Stamford Bridge but have played each other in the FA Cup. Wigan's last visit to Stamford Bridge was way back in 1985 when they forced a replay in the FA Cup after a 2-2 draw. Chelsea went on to win the subsequent replay.

After their impressive start, Wigan have faltered somewhat with three straight defeats, but have no doubt, after their unlucky opening day defeat at the JJB, when 'Hello Hello' Hernan Crespo scored a dramatic last kick winner, Wigan will raise their game and will be out for revenge.

De Zeeuw is a definite non-starter for Wigan today.
