Most of Jose Mourinho build-up to today's match with Bolton at The Bridge concentrated on the depth of the squad that is now available to him.

JM said "This season we have played already after international weeks and we did okay, we got results. Last season was much worse. I think this season we have a squad who can fight a little bit against that. We have more solutions. I can rotate a little bit and we have players who are not involved in the international week to give some fresh blood to the team. I think we can do it again tomorrow."

JM has always sung the praises of U-21 International Carlton Cole and you can expect young Carlton to be involved in some part at The Bridge this afternoon. Jose said "He is a player I like very much, he has to compete against Drogba, Crespo and Gudjohnsen and life is not easy but I believe, and I think he also believes, that at this moment of his career he is better being at Chelsea than being on loan at another club, even if he was playing regularly."

"He had that chance at Charlton and Aston Villa and things didn’t go very well. At this moment at Chelsea he is fantastic, the way he works, his responsibility, his mentality to wait for his chance and I am really, really happy with him.

"If in January Drogba goes to the African Nations Cup, Cole will have a lot of chances during that period. When people speak about the possibility of him going on loan, it is my decision and my decision is no chance! He stays with us for the whole season."

One player definitely out today and for the next four weeks at least is Republic of Ireland's Damien Duff. Duff returned back to Cobham early last week after sustaining a knee injury last weekend. On Monday Duff underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on a cartilage injury. JM said about Duff "He is out for about four weeks, normally. It can be five, it can be three but normally it’s four weeks."

On the Bolton front. Defender Nicky Hunt and midfielders Ivan Campo and Jay-Jay Okocha have been ruled out.

On Bolton's last two visits to The Bridge they have won 2-1 (with a last minute JT own goal) and last season drew 2-2 after being 2-0 down. None of that today boys, PLEASE?!?!?!?!
