It wasn't just the Academy who were in action last night. The reserves made the short journey across London last night and secured a 3-0 victory over non-league opposition Wingate and Finchley.

Against a defensively determined Finchley team, Chelsea found it hard to make the breakthrough, but the first goal came from a flick from Joe Keenan and Phil Younghusband gleefully smashed in it.

Things were a little more open in the second-half and Keenan took Filipe Morais’ pass and curled in the second goal. Morais then scored their third from Jamie Simmonds’ square ball.
