The FA Cup holders travel to The Riverside for the 5th Round of the FA Cup in quite some turmoil if you are to believe one black-top tabloid. The journalist claims there were disagreements amongst the players , notably JT and fatty after the 2-0 defeat at Man City on Sunday. Fatty accused the team of not trying and unable to understand tactics, which you can understand, didn’t go down too well, allegedly!

Chelsea tried to play down the ‘incident’ by saying the rift did not impact of the quality of the training session.

Then to fuel the fire further, Gary Cahill has expressed his feelings about a ‘tired’ Chelsea complaining that Chelsea haven’t had a clear week in twenty-nine weeks and the pressure of playing three games a week, week in, week out.

Don’t go semi-pro then – they do that throughout a whole season and hold down jobs too!!

Cahill said, “Unfortunately, it does take its toll. I think sometimes a little bit fatigue plays its part.

“We haven’t had a clear week for about 29 weeks and you’re expecting to go into games feeling 100% fresh, trying to push on further in all competitions.

(Try working 40/50 hours per week then, poor boy…. Ed)

“Man City had a clear week and we’ve had a ridiculous amount of games. I think it told, I thought they were a lot fresher and sharper.

“I had way too much to do.

“Normally, at a big club, you probably get asked to do three or four important things in a game but we probably had 20 or 25.”

Co-incidentally, one of the first things that came out of fatty’s mouth at yesterday’s pre-match presser was that Cahill has been ruled out suffering with a virus.

(That might explain the ‘tiredness’ Cahill has been experiencing…. Ed)

Put your feet up lad

‘Dave’ Cesar Azpilicueta is also out suffering from discomfort in his leg according to fatty.

Will ‘Captain, Leader, Legend, One England Captain’ JT be recalled from bench to take his rightful place back in the heart of the defence?

With fatty about, nothing is certain!
