Norwich City 0-1 Chelsea; Don't Like Him and Never Will

A third straight win since returning from Japan, two successive clean sheets and David Luiz is still in midfield. I am now getting asked, ‘do you love Rafa?’ ‘No,’ I reply ‘and never will.’ ‘Why?’ I get asked, ‘he is winning you games,’ I reply, ‘that’s why he is getting paid so much. I don’t like him and I never will like him.’ I tried to explain this all after Xmas lunch to another Chelsea ‘fan’ but it simply went straight over his head.

Yesterday at Carrow Road, a goal from Juan Mata, with a powerful shot from outside the area after good inter-play with Oscar was enough to bring back three Boxing Day points and cut the gap to Money Citeh to four points.

Super Frank was benched to allow Mikel to return after suspension, which has caused all sorts of consternation for one particular red-top rag who have seem to have forgotten one word in the English and Football world = Rotation and Rotation = ‘The Portly One.’

‘The Portly One’ said after, “To be fair, Mikel has been out suspended and I thought he could give us fresh legs. I had to manage it.

“We can play only so many games with the same players and we have to manage. As a team we have to have different players ready.”

As for the game, result and performance, ‘The Portly One’ said, “I would not say it was very comfortable but I would say we were working hard.

“Mata is a player who is very dangerous getting into the box and also outside the box, so we are very pleased with him.

“Norwich on this pitch, beast Man Utd and Arsenal, so we knew it was going to be tough – but we played as a team.”

Norwich fan here. I don't like him either. The trouble is, Chelsea sold it's soul to the devil (in a figurative sense, as I don't believe in that rubbish). Di Matteo was solid and sensible and the players liked him and his tactics - that was obviously too much for Abramovich, who wants to call all the shots himself. On the other hand, Mata is a class act who scored a very good goal. Even I can't help liking the guy (no fuss, no bother, just good football!). May go the way of Di Matteo, being a threat to the giant ego. Go catch Citeh, you guys!
