If last night’s outcome that saw the European Champions become the first Champions in Champions League history to be eliminated from the group stages wasn’t bad enough, this afternoon Obi Mikel was banned for three matches, with immediate effect and fined £60,000 for his after match antics in Clutterbuck’s dressing room following Chelsea’s defeat against Man Utd in October.

Now the punishment has been dished out, I hope the matter can rest, and Chelsea Football Club can learn a few lessons with the way they acted so quickly in ‘going public’ as historically it is easier to break into Fort Knox, than it is to get Chelsea Football Club to release any news or go public with anything.

As for last night’s result.

For me Chelsea were always going to win. It didn’t matter whether the score ended 1-0 or 10-1.

Chelsea’s Champions League future was dependant on Shakhtar beating Juventus. Sadly an own goal saw ‘The Old Lady,’ victorious and top the group, pushing Shakhtar in 2^nd place.

Many will cite the two defeats in Italy and the Ukraine for Chelsea’s demise, but for me the surrending of a two goal lead against Juventus in the opening group game at The Bridge was the catalyst for Chelsea’s relegation into the Europa League and Thursday night football, which will be a novelty.

Still at least Chelsea are still in Europe unlike Money Citeh (snigger.. Ed.)

‘The Portly One’ secured his first win, Torres ended his goal drought with a brace and suddenly Chelsea FOUND 11 leaders!

We have been calling for weeks now that Chelsea need to find another ‘leader’ to rise up when ‘Captain, Leader, Legend JT is absent from the team, from nowhere eleven showed up to batter the Danish whipping boys with six goals in the space of 32 minutes plus a missed penalty (don’t let Hazard anywhere near one again!!) and a heroic display from Hansen who kept the score down into single figures.

Nordsjaelland missed a penalty of their own in the first half and should have taken the lead, but Cechie Boy dived to his right to save.

Moments after the second-half restart Nordsjaelland’s John raced on to a through ball beating Ivanovic for pace, before delicately chipping over the advancing Cechie Boy to make the score 2-1.
