Terrible Twosome!

Despite the best efforts of the Sweet FA to railroad Chelsea’s unbeaten league start to the season with their ludicrous and ridiculous reasons for banning and fining Captain, Leader, Leader JT, Chelsea, Ashley Cole and JT sent a two-fingered message back to the Sweet FA, UP YOURS, after Chelsea caned the Canaries 4-1 at The Bridge yesterday afternoon.

As proved last season in becoming the FIRST London club to win the Champions League, Chelsea showed once again that they are at their most dangerous when their backs are against the wall and Norwich felt the full force of the backlash, despite taking the lead when Holt swept home after 11 minutes.

Within minutes of Holt’s opener, Torres  equalised with a header from an Ivanovic cross, then Super Frank equalled Bobby Tambling’s record of 129 league goals when he scored from the edge of the area, after a Torres overhead kick kindly rebounded his way, to put Chelsea 2-1 in front.

Then after clearing a Norwich attack, Juan Mata picked up the ball just outside the Chelsea area, he then raced fully 90 yards before releasing a defence splitting pass taking out three Norwich defenders, allowing Hazard to score Chelsea’s third into Ruddy’s left-hand corner.

Chelsea’s 4^th came with 15 minutes to go when Ivanovic smashed home from close-range after being cheekily set up by a Mata back-heel.

Naturally Bobby Di was enthused when he said, “I thought it was excellent. We played some fantastic football, created a lot of chances and maybe could have scored a couple more.

“Every team makes it difficult for you. They are fighting for points and so are we, and after we went 1-0 down it was crucial to get the equaliser quickly. From there we never looked back and scored the second and third in the first half.

“I always said we have a good squad and I’m utilising it. We’ve not seen much of Azpilicueta or Romeu who will get more time after the international break. We’ve got Marin coming back and Sturridge has been injured.

“We’ve got options and so far we’ve been lucky with injuries but after the break it is a busy fixture list and we will refresh the team a little bit.”

So as we head-off into the sunset for another two-week holiday, Chelsea’s next Premier League adventure is away to Tottingham on Saturday 20^th October, k.o. 12.45pm and a quick reunion with AvB, the man who almost single-handedly brought Chelsea to its knees.

It was a very enjoyable game to watch...we really are beginning to play some nice stuff.

Can't wait for Spurs!
