Yesterday the Sweet FA published their 62 page report on the findings of the Independent Panel’s decision to fine JT £220,000 and ban him for four matches for using abusive language to poor, poor Anton Ferdinand last year at Loftus Road. Despite being found NOT guilty in a court of law, the Sweet FA have basically called JT a ‘liar’ saying his evidence was ‘improbable, implausible and contrived.’
Additionally the Sweet FA accused Ashley Cole of being a ‘liar’ and he tweeted his response in a not so polite way calling the sweet FA ‘a bunch of t**ts.’
The remark was quickly removed as it was posted. With over 400,000 followers, Ash’s comment was quickly re-tweeted around cyberspace and Oh dear…. More fodder for the Red tops.
Subsequently, the best left-back in the World issued an ‘unreserved’ apology and is expected to join up with the England squad for the forthcoming games against San Marino and Poland.
The full report can be viewed on the FA’s website and all I can say is the Sweet FA’s statement is more ‘contrived’ than convicted JT’s evidence and the Independent Panel’s decision was based on probability.
How many times will heads land face-up if you toss it ten times?
JT take the ‘hit,’ serve your ban and come back fighting and stronger than ever as never in a million years will the Sweet FA change their mind.
Today Chelsea take on Norwich City at The Bridge and the only player missing from the squad through injury is Danny Sturridge.
Lucas Piazon played for the U21s last night in the 3-1 defeat by Fulham, their 2nd game in 48 hours after beating CSKA Moscow in Moscow 1-0, in the NextGen series on Wednesday night.
Chelsea have recorded four straight victories over the Canaries in recent years – 4-0 in the FA Cup, 4-0 in the Premiership, 4-0 again in the FA Cup and 3-1 last season.
Talking of the FA Cup, will you ever forget Gianfranco Zola’s wonderful back-heel goal in the FA Cup replay at The Bridge over ten years ago.
Take a trip down memory lane and enjoy that wonderful moment again.
