It’s obvious the FA do not care two hoots about Chelsea’s prospects in this seasons ‘Corrupt Cup’ campaign – they are on parity on UEFA – an organisation that Chelsea also have to beat as well as Barca to get to Munich in May. This morning the Spanish FA have brought forward ‘El Classico’ 24 hours to Saturday, allowing Barca extra-time for recovery before the 1st leg at The Bridge on Wednesday 18th April.
The above begs the question.
What if the same scenario fell to Man Utd for example? There is no doubt the FA would fall over backwards to accommodate their best mate – SAF!
The controversial fallout from Saturday’s late late win over Wigan continues as the heavily criticised officials missed Ivanovic punching Wigan’s Shaun Maloney in the stomach, this after the whippersnapper elbowed Ivanovic in an over energetic challenge, in the latter part of the game, before Mata popped up with Chelsea’s winner.
Ivanovic is expected to be charged on video evidence and when found guilty will miss the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham, the League game against Woolwich and the League game against QPR.
Maloney however has got off scot free.
One rule springs to mind!
‘One England Captain’ JT and Super Frank are expected to return at The Cottage tonight but the news on Ashley Cole isn’t that great.
Bobby Di fears the worst about Cole’s ankle injury and expects him to miss not only tonight but the semi-final games against Tottingham and Barca 1st leg.
Cole is the only player that can put Messi in his back pocket as he has in the past.
SHUDDER!!
COME ON CHELSEA
