Barclays Asia Trophy: Kitchee 0-4 Chelsea

UP THE CHELS

Kitchee FC, an unknown quantity and Hong Kong Champions provided Chelsea with their latest opposition in the Hong Kong stadium (this afternoon, evening, morning - depending your Chelsea location) on this wonderful planet and Chelsea played their best football arguably this pre-season.

Admittedly it took a first-half penalty and an OG to reward Chelsea their superiority, but further goals from Didier Drogba, his last contribution before being subbed and a delicious Danny Sturridge strike, saw Chelsea fish out their 2nd successive four goal haul and on all fours, Chelsea still haven't conceded a goal after four games this pre-season.

TV pictures captured AvB applauding Chelsea's second and fourth goals.

Chelsea's three second-half goals all came down the left - contributed by Ash, Flo and Yossi (who is playing like he is making up for lost time).

The 2nd goal was an OG after a Flo cross, the third goal came from a brave Didier header, again from another Flo cross and the fourth goal came from Danny Sturridge after a brilliant turn on the other side of the area from a deflected Yossi cross, shooting diagonally across the 'keepers goal into the opposite corner.

Didier needs credit for putting his head (especially in a friendly game) into dangerous 'boot in the head' situation when stooping low to score.

Chelsea's first goal came from a Super Frank penalty after Yossi was up-ended at the edge of the penalty area and Chelsea could have had a 2nd penalty soon after when there was a deliberate handball on the line, but referee Phil Dowd, chose to turn a blind-eye.

Torres came on as a 2nd-half substitute along with a host of others and he was unlucky not to get on the score-sheet when hitting the post from 30 odd yards in the last minute.
