Danny Sturridge, Ryan Bertrand and ex-Chelsea, now a Hamburg player, Michael Mancienne all started for England U21s in their first group game in the Euro Finals in Denmark on Sunday night. Jack Cork, another Chelsea representative, was an unused sub.

England didn't cover themselves in glory, only managing a 1-1 draw with the bookies tournament favourites and to be honest Spain 'cheated' their way to the draw when Herrera gave the Spaniards the lead with his hand following a corner.

Despite England's struggle, if it wasn't for Utd's new signing, goalkeeper David De Gea from Athletico Madrid, saving brilliantly from a combined touch involving Sturridge and a Spanish defender, England may have grabbed an unlikely win and three points.

England are still in with a shout of qualifying for the semi-finals and their next game is against Ukraine on Wednesday night, kick-off 7.45pm (UK time)

Ukraine were beaten by the Czech Republic 2-1 in their opener.
