Whoosh!! From 1st to third in 180 minutes and our goal difference obliterated as Man Utd hit SEVEN and Arsenal grab FOUR in yesterday's games. The pitch at St James' park is currently undergoing a pitch inspection and Newcastle have reported that they are doing everything in their power to make sure the game goes ahead.

There will be no surprises with the team selection - injuries and suspensions - means the team practically picks itself and on Friday afternoon the Boss 'Anco' announced the starting XI.

Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Ivanovic, A Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Malouda, Kalou, Drogba, Anelka

There isn't really anything else to be said except the players know that to get back on top of league they have to win and score goals, an event that hasn't been achieved in four away games this season
