Carlo Ancelotti has revealed the news that many Chelsea fans have been hoping to hear for a long time – young fringe squad players and possibly some youth and reserves will be given a fair crack of the whip in the League Cup.
Asked if we could win a historic quadruple this season, the Italian’s response brought refreshing news:
“Nothing is impossible, though I think it would be very difficult because our priority in the Carling Cup is to give experience to younger players.”
“It is not our priority (the League Cup), though obviously we want to try to win it.
“To win four trophies is very difficult but possible, yes, but not just for us; for other clubs, too.”

Josh McEachran - Midfield
Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing some of the players I have been watching in recent seasons up against senior opposition at the Bridge on Wednesday.

Jefferey Bruma - Centre-half
Hopefully, Ancelotti, whilst going much further than recent previous Chelsea managers in blooding the youth, will still strike some balance by using some regular first teamers. That way we have much more chance of seeing more of the younger players as we progress in the competition.
