Chelsea youth product Michael Mancienne says that he is prepared to be patient in his bid to break into the first team as a new era dawns for the club under Carlo Ancelotti.
Mancienne has not even discounted going out on loan (with Everton supposedly interested) although many Chelsea fans would like to see him get a good few run-outs in the new season.
“I just want to take it as it comes and to try and break into the Chelsea team,” he said.
“If I don’t then I’ll have to see what happens from there.“I have world class international players in front of me, so I just have to be patient and bide my time because I don’t think you can break into the side at a young age.
“I would like to see what happens in pre-season, I just want to impress.”
“Having a new boss means I obviously have to impress him. So it’s important I do well.”
