Drogba to be offered new three-year deal

Reports are coming in that Didier Drogba is to be offered a new three-year deal this week – news which is likely to irritate the media who have been baying for his exit from the Premier League and also a fair few opposition defences who struggle to contain the Ivorian hit-man.

At 31 and with a slightly dodgy knee I can’t imagine he’ll be available for every  match but his sheer power and prowess make it more than worthwhile in keeping him on board at the Bridge in my opinion.

No doubt a further top class striker will need to be signed in order to provide cover for injuries and more importantly during the African Nations - as well as Di Santo given more playing time.
