Scolari "I'll Sign Ronaldo"

Chelsea and Man Utd meet up this lunchtime for the first time since May and that awful night. A victory today will heal the wounds only slightly, revenge will not be completed until Chelsea play Utd again in another Champions League final and beat them 2-0 or 3-0. The pre-match media scrum this week has had SAF blasting the authorities for the rescinding of JTs red card last weekend,

Ronaldo claiming Chelsea are bullies and now Big Phil claims 'He would sign Ronaldo,' not that will happen in a million years, but what a great headline and what would make a better picture is old red nose himself, tearing his hair out.

Today a new flag which has been sanctioned and paid for by Mr A, makes its bow at the Matthew Harding stand and the present flag gets transferred to the Upper Tier of the Shed End.

CHELSEA FLAG HOME SMALLER

Scolari said, "Maybe next season, Cristiano is with me. Tell him if he wants to change, I'll open the door for him."

Scolari continued and said, "He will leave Utd one day because he won't play for 50 years. If he goes to another club, whether in one year or two years, I don't know. He's my friend. I like him as a father likes his son. But his life is his life."

As a well as a new home flag, Mr A has paid for a new away flag.

CHELSEA FLAG AWAY SMALLER

To unfurl the flag in away grounds, the fans need permission from the home club before the flag can be unfurled.

It is hoped that the new away flag will make its debut at Portsmouth in midweek in the Carling Cup or next weekend when Chelsea travel to Stoke City.

Excellent about the flags - we´ve had a few big ones in the past and its good to see old traditions being preserved.

Many Chelsea fans appear supremely confident about today
(and to be fair, there are reasons to justify this) BUT I always get a bad feeling in my bones when we are too confident. Still, doubt the players will be so cock-sure which is the most important thing.

The referee will probably be the most important factor today unfortunately - and with it being Mavis and the baying, plebian masses with their false high moral ground outrage over Terry´s red card last week I just hope he doesnt succumb - IF he doesn´t then we SHOULD win this.

"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.
