The 2nd day of competition in the Russian Railways Cup kicks-off in less than an hour with Chelsea playing AC Milan for the third place finish. I think it is safe to say that the organisers would have like this to be the final.
AC Milan lost to Sevilla 1-0, Gattuso scoring an own goal and after a 1-1 draw, Chelsea were beaten 5-4 on pens by the hosts Lokomotiv Moscow.
Today Chelsea face a strong Milan team, including Paolo Maldini who seems to go on forvever and forever and he his a pure example of player loyalty as he has spent all of his career with The Rossoneri. Kaka (a constant reported Chelsea target is another player to watch out for, although it is reported that Kaka is suffering from tendonitis and may not feature today. Pirlo is another player to watch out for as is Milan's midfield general, Gennaro Gattuso. AC and Chelsea have met before in pre-season where one team has a victory each and the third game ended in a 1-1 draw, but the games that everybody remembers well are the games in the 1999/00 Champions League campaign where Chelsea and AC drew 0-0 at The Bridge (probably the best 0-0 ever) and that memorable night in the San Siro, when Dennis Wise scored THAT goal.
