Wednesday face a tough trip to promotion hopefuls Reading on Tuesday night when they travel to the Madjeski Stadium. Reading are unbeaten since the first game of the season and are hot on the heels of leaders Sheffield United. Meanwhile Wednesday are on a five game unbeaten run of their own.

Reading Vs Wednesday

Date:  Tuesday 1st November

Venue: Madejski Stadium, Reading

Wednesday will go in to the clash with promotion hopefuls Reading full of confidence after a run of five games without defeat, but know they will face a tough challenge against a team who have lost just one game this season.

That defeat came at the Madejski stadium on the first game of the season against Plymouth Argyle, but since then the Royals have cruised to second in the Championship table just three points behind the leaders Sheffield United.

Since then Reading have won all their home games with the exception of the game against Leeds United on Saturday, and will be hoping to get back to winning ways against the Owls on Tuesday night.

Wednesday will be hoping to carry on their fine run of form which has seen them climb up to 18th in the table with a game in hand. Two victories and three draws has seen Wednesday unbeaten in five games.

The bad news for Wednesday going in to the game is that Graham Coughlan will be missing with an achilles injury picked up in training on Friday. The defender is set to have a scan this week to see how bad the injury is, and could be out up until christmas which will be a big blow to Paul Sturrock. Richard Wood is likely to keep his place alongside Graeme Lee in defence. Gabriel Agbonlahor is also likely to keep his place after an impressive debut with David Graham missing out.

Goal getter Leroy Lita will still be missing from the Reading team, but boss Steve Coppell faces no new injury worries ahead of the midweek match.

The last time Wednesday travelled to the Madejski stadium Reading ran out 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Jamie Cureton. Gerald Sibon got the goal for the Owls.
