Courtney joins Clarets

Duane Courtney has joined the Clarets on a 2-year contract from AFC Telford for £25,000 plus further appearance fees.

Supporters' Player of Season, Manager's Player of Season and Player's Player of Season, Duane joined before the deadline following a trial earlier on in the month. His performance last season obviously attracted Steve's attention.

The deal also includes a sell-on clause and the AFC Telford chairman confirmed that it was the highest fee recieved for a player. The club formerly known as Telford United went into liquidation during the summer of 2004 and the Supporters Trust secured the club's assets and formed the club as it is now known, AFC Telford United.

We will have more on the signing of this 20 year old defender when we get more details.
