Luton Shelton is all set to sign for Burnley should he be granted a work permit. The young Jamaican striker will see if he is to be granted a work permit on Thursday.

The youngster has spent the last few weeks on trial at Turf Moor and has impressed Steve Cotterill enough to be offered a contract.

Cotterill said: "It's good news that we've got a hearing for Luton Shelton on Thursday in London and we certainly hope we'll be luckier than we were last time (with Artim Sakiri) and the panel look upon this application as very favourable.

"He's a good young player that will be a good addition, not only to Burnley but to football in this country.

"He's a 19-year-old international who has scored 10 goals in his last 12 games at that level and has been a regular scorer for his club, Harbour View in Jamaica."
