Burnley beat Accrington Stanley 3-0, in our annual friendly game at the Interlink Express Stadium on Wednesday evening. Thanks to Kipax.com for the photos.
John McGreal gave the Clarets an early lead, in a game which introduced us to trialist and transfer
target, Artim Sakiri.
A Graham Branch volley gave us the second goal and a 2-0 lead at half time. The team were unlucky to not have scored more.
After an excellent first half, Elliot scored his first goal for Burnley almost mid-way into the second half and despite Accrington trying to grab a consolation goal in the closing minutes, the game ended 3-0 to the Clarets.
Artim Sakiri impressed the Clarets fans, and the performance overall from the team should give us confidence in the squad we have at the moment in the run-up to our league game against Crewe in a few weeks time.
