The draw for the first round of the Carling Cup was made this morning. The Clarets were drawn at home and will face Carlisle United.

Burnley and Carlisle were the last two numbers left in the draw with the Clarets coming out first to ensure a home tie at the Turf.

The game will take place on either August 23rd or 24th.
