Reserve Match and Coyne Call-Up

We bring you news on last nights Reserve game, which we won 2-0 at the Interlink Express Stadium and a call-up for Danny Coyne to the Wales squad.

One Hundred and Six fans turned up at the Interlink Express Stadium, to see the Reserve team play Shrewsbury at the Clarets' temporary Reserve ground. 

We lined up: Coyne, Pilkington, Trotman, McCann, Scott, Pugh, Booth, Yates, O’Neill, Jones, Branch.
Subs: Reilly, Platt, Hanley, Hale, Ince.

Danny Coyne played his first game since being injured at QPR in October and managed to keep a clean sheet while Coach, Mark Yates also featured in the side.

An entertaining goal near the end of the first half from Branch into the top corner gave the Clarets the lead.

In the 83rd minute, Cayne Hanley tapped the ball in to clinch the game for the Clarets, giving us a 2-0 win.

Burnley: Coyne, Pilkington, Scott (Reilly, 78) Yates (Platt, 55) Trotman, McCann, Pugh, Booth, Jones, Branch (Hanley, 75) O'Neill.
Subs not used: Hale, Ince.

Shrewsbury: Hart, Cadwallader, Ridler, Walton, Murray, Lowe, Clampitt, Lyng, Stephens, Grant, Pavell.
Subs: Havard, Goh, Street, Price, Hughes

In other news: Danny Coyne has been called up to the Wales squad to face Hungary at the Millennium Stadium on 9th February, by new Wales boss, John Toshack. He is one of two keepers in the following squad.
