A round-up of news from the past week involving Frank Sinclair. He has signed a new deal and won't be playing against Wigan.

Frank Sinclair has signed a new 2-year extension to his contract with the Clarets keeping him at Turf Moor until the end of the 2006/2007 season.

The defender has a been a great success in the past few months and is part of one of the toughest defences in the league. Only Stoke and Wigan have conceded less than us as we enter the second half of the season.

Frank told reporters:

"Initially I came because of the gaffer as I needed to play for someone I trusted.

"I had a hard summer and it was an opportunity to start afresh. I've enjoyed it so much here that I had no hesitation in signing to stay for a further two years."

Steve Cotterill added:

"Frank has been an integral part of our defence this season and he's been responsible, along with the rest of the defence, for numerous clean sheets this season.

"We're delighted he's agreed to stay with us."

He was due to serve the last of his 2 games in the stands against Crewe following a two-game suspension but with that match being post-poned due to snow, Frank will have to sit in the stands for the Wigan game.
