Wigan Athletic have come back with a 2nd bid for captain Robbie Blake. The club have rejected the £600,000 offer and have taken the unusual step of releasing a press release on Blake.....
Burnley Chief Executive Dave Edmundson has revealed that the club have been in talks with the representatives of Robbie Blake in recent weeks in a bid to extend the player's contract.
Blake, 28, has been the subject of two bids from Championship rivals Wigan Athletic this week, one for £500,000 and the other for £600,000 and both have been turned down by the Clarets.
The former
"We have been a little surprised by all the interest," he said.
"We have been in talks with his agent for the last four to six weeks with regard to a new deal."
