Richard Duffy will stay at Turf Moor for another month. The Portsmouth defender, who has been here a month, has made one start and three substitute appearances.

His first game was against Stoke when he replaced Micah Hyde at right back who had replaced Michael Duff who was given his marching orders shortly before half time. Duffy inpressed in that game and started in the following match against Cardiff where he gave another good performance in our 1-0 over the Bluebirds.

He lost his place at Reading, when Duff returned from his suspension, and he came on in the 2nd half at Ipswich and he also featured in the 2-0 defeat against Derby on Friday night. It is not clear whether he will be allowed to play against Aston Villa, in the Carling Cup tomorrow, and i'm sure Steve Cotterill will have been trying his best to persuade Harry Redknapp to let him play as Frank Sinclair is suspended for the match.

Meanwhile, Ian Moore has today had surgery on his knee to sort out the problems he has been having with his patella tendon.
