Steve Cotterill has today made another addition to our squad. 29-year-old Jamican International Micah Hyde is the latest player to sign a contract at Turf Moor.
The former Watford midfielder has signed a 3 year contract with the Clarets and his arrival has delighted manager Steve Cotterill who had this to say about our new arrival "I'm delighted to have signed Micah, he's a terrific midfielder, a great leader, good experience and a good age at 29"
Hyde had been training with Sheffield United after he was released by Watford. He started his career at Cambridge United before really making a name for himself at Vicarage Road where he played nearly 300 games for the Hornets. He has scored 17 goals in his last 4 seasons, picked up 20 bookings as well as one red card.
Hyde has played in the top flight with Watford and his experience, along with his touch tackling repuation and his vision will hopefully mean he has a strong impact at the Turf.
Welcome to Burnley Micah.
We'll leave the final word to Steve Cotterill though.....
"It's another piece in the jigsaw and the squad is starting to shape up a bit more now."
