Steve Cotterill: The CV

- 39 years old, 40 in July.

- One of only 12 men in England with the UEFA 'Pro' License = the highest in Europe!

- Played for several clubs as a striker:

* Cheltenham

* Burton Albion

* Wimbledon

* Brighton

* Bournemouth

- Forced to retire through injury.

- 1996 takes on his first appointment at Sligo Rovers in Ireland, taking them to their highest ever Premiership finish, a league cup final and FAI semi-final.

- 1997 gets the Cheltenham post full time after taking them from the Dr Marten's League to the Conference.

- 1998 Cheltenham win the FA Trophy, finish runners-up in the Conference and Cotterill becomes the youngest ever manager to win the 'Manager of the Season Award.'

-1999 Cheltenham are promoted to Division Three.

- 2000 Cheltenham narrowly miss out on play-offs.

- 2001 Cheltenham finish 9th in Division Three.

- 2002 Promoted to Division Two after a play-off victory over Rushden (3-1)

- May 2002 appointed at Stoke City, leaves after 13 games.

- October 2002 becomes Assistant Manager at Sunderland, sacked 4 months later.

- February 2004 returns to coaching at Premiership Leicester.

- June 2004 appointed Burnley's 30th manager on a 3 year contract.
