The Clarets lost 2-1 as Stan Ternent took charge of the Clarets for the last time after being told his contract wouldn't be renewed.
Burnley 1 - 2 Sunderland
The Clarets took the lead on the 11th minute when a pass from Chaplow enabled Little to slot the ball in from close range. Sunderland however made sure the 3 points were theirs with goals in each half making the final score 2-1 to them.
From a corner Gary Breen headed the ball home in the 37th minute finding the equaliser and giving the 4000+ vocal away supporters something else to sing about. The 66th minute sealed the win for Sunderland, an Oyster cross was met by the head of Stewart which hit the bar but the rebound header from Kyle put the ball in the back of the net.
A full report will follow.
