Carpenter training with Wales

Rhys Carpenter has been called up to a training camp for Wales Under 21 squad. The camp is training this week and it is a good reward for the Newport striker who has had a good season in the Youth and Reserve teams. Former Manchester United player Clayton Blackmore is in charge of the Under 21's and has been impressed with the number of goals Carpenter has scored this season.

Carpenter is now a Third Year scholar so he couldn't have played in the Cup Final last night. He was a schoolboy international when he arrived at the Turf and this news will further enhance his opportunity of getting more involved with the 1st team.
