No Isle of Man this year

Burnley have today confirmed that they will not be sending the first team to the Isle of Man this year. The Clarets have taken part in the 'Steam Packet International Football Festival' for the last 4 Summers but will be playing pre-season football in a different location this year. The news will come as a welcome relief to a growing number of fans who were becoming sick of the Clarets going to the Isle of Man every year.

The competition has had a poor quality line up for some time now with the Clarets headlining the event last Summer alongside Yorkshire glamour club Rotherham.

Stan Ternent will no doubt be weighing up a number of options for the pre-season schedule and as soon as the details are announced, you'll be the first to know.
