"Match Reaction"

 Both manager's had something to complain about after the 1-1 draw. Stan was pleased with a point but fuming at the referee for booking Tony Grant even though he was the victim of a "scandalous" tackle from Andy Johnson. He admitted a "point was fair."

Gary Megson meanwhile was left rueing Rob Hulse's sending off, something he may appeal against once he has seen the video. Although Megson admitted the challenge was "aggressive" he did not feel it was a sending off. Seemingly because earlier a defender had gone up Rob Hulse's back! But Megson was rightly pleased with what he dubbed a "braveheart" display and was quite right to praise Darren Moore and Geoff Horsfield.

Horsfield who has now slotted two in two for the Baggies admitted it was a tough match. "I'm absolutely shattered. I've played up front in my own a few times in my career but I've never had to work that hard." "Burnley is a really tough place to go and you always expect a Stan Ternent side to make life difficult." "We also had to battle a very partisan home crowd."

It seems we left a lasting impression on the WBA players at least and lets hope our tough, tighter defending can last much longer, as most other teams will not be as solid as WBA.
