Reserves Win

The reserves won their first game of 2004 yesterday against Huddersfield Town. The win, only the second of the campaign, still leaves the Clarets bottom of the table but we are now within touching distance of the sides above us. Ronnie Jepson fielded a stronger team than usual yesterday with 1st team members Graham Branch, Dean West, Matty O'Neill, Mo Camara and Alan Moore all starting alongside 1st team bench warmer Joel Pilkington.

Burnley also fielded 3 trialists Greg Parker, Alan Hunter and John Harrison for the match at the McAlpine Stadium.

Harrison opened the scoring on the hour mark before a Dean West penalty made sure of the points shortly afterwards.

So that's two clean sheets between the 1st team and the reserves this year....things maybe starting to look up for Burnley Football Club.
